Job advice for a 15 year old

Well, I'm currently employed at a local grocery store and have been for a year. There had been new management for a little over two months and things have gotten bad but I've been thinking about quitting before this because it isn't what I like at all (and yes I know jobs aren't suppose to be fun). Honestly I think about getting in a car accident so I won't have to go into work. I'm really not happy there and it is starting to stress me. I'm 15 years old and female but don't know if I should quit take a break for a few weeks and then start looking because there is no garentee I will find another job or stick it out. I'm also a very heavy shopper and my parents don't really have that much extra to help me so fear that if I go without a job for a long period of time will have to stop and it is a form of fun for me. The other part is last year the job cut into my school work and down time which to a point I expect but now the store is open even later so I also don't know what will happen with that. I know you aren't me so this is a hard question to answer but if you were me what would you do and why?

  1. Keep working where you are until you find a new job, then quit and enjoy your new one :)

  2. Welcome to the real world, honey. I work two jobs and I hate both of them I wanna call off or quit everyday, and I am 34. If you wanna have stuff and go places you hafta work. If you're not happy where you are, you do have the option of finding another job. But I have discovered that you get hired easier if you are presently employed. If you think your job will give you a good reference, you should be ok. Most people hate their jobs, but we have bills, cars, kids, house payments...life sucks, but work is a necessity unless you marry a rich guy. Good luck, try a different type of job. And don't make this mistake...don't just up and quit your jobs, give 2 weeks notice. It shows you're responsible and mature to future employers. And if you hate your new job more than the last, you may very well be able to get rehired at your last job if you were professional enough to give them 2 weeks notice. Otherwise, I guess your shopping days are over for awhile, my dear.

  3. MOW LAWNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  4. look for a new job, then quit when you find one.

Jobs are hard to come by in my town, i don't know about yours, but in mine, its rare to get one.

apply at fast food places, like an ice cream place, mcdonalds, or a sub place, maybe even begals.

Good luck, and don't give up on a job search

  5. I would definately start looking into new jobs. Anywhere you might be interested at working, not many jobs at 15 though maybe another grocery store? I would continue to work until you have a secure job in place and then quit. I am the same way about shopping and getting a job was awesome because I only had to spend the money on what I wanted (I have been working sine 15). But trust me...try to lay off the heavy spending and start to save up your cash now. I wish I had. So my advice: stick to it until you can find another job.!!! Good Luck :)

  6. first off id make sure id have a workers permit. sound like you do.

then id talk to the manager/managment and tell them how you fell. if they dont care. quit.look in the newpaper theres alwase jobs in there.

but before you quit make sure you have a backup job if you find one. and since i dont live in your town i can't tell you what job

  7. keep job - find new job - quit old job. simple.

but, your 15.. you really DONT need money. unless your helping out with food or college, then you dont HAVE to have a job.
