  1. Ok, this is a delicate question and they probably toss this one in there to see how well you can be trusted when it comes to the delicate psyche of a school-age child. I would answer like this.

" As I do not believe in racism or discrimination, I plan to promote sensitivity by being an example to others, treating each individual equally, with the same care and respect, regardless of differences."

You might want to re-word it to your taste, but that's basically how I would be comfortable answering a delicate question like that. Hope that helps!!!

  2. Ugh, tough one. It means how will you act / react / etc. if you have any of those issues or something? Just write down that you'll treat everyone equally and I think that'd be a ok answer.

  3. It's called "diversity". I would say that you will act according to the nondiscriminatory laws and you will not tolerate others to discriminate or let racial slurs/problems go unnoticed.

That children that seem to be having problems or causing problems will be sent to any training or classes the school offers or referred to the councilors.

  4. By living it. By being a good example, by being honest and fair and the exact same way to every person. By not condoning the wrong that some may do, but by standing up for truth and right in equality.

By seeing every person the same as me, no matter who they are or what they believe. By caring for everyone.

First and foremost by living it.

I will promote it first of all by being it and living it.

  5. how will your reaction be to any act of racism, cultural, religious, etcetera when it occurs? I suppose thats what they want to know. (i am sure they will not like to see you approve to such behaviour in front of students)

  6. Very weird question - odd phrasing. Could you tell us a bit more about what an "attendance clerk" does? That would be helpful.

If you're not in a position to interact with many students/faculty/employees, I'm not sure how you'd be in a position to "promote" sensitivity. As I said, very odd phrasing. It sounds like an equal-opportunity CYA catch-all, and it may just be a question they include in their standard application. In which case, if it really doesn't apply to you, you could say something graceful yet vague.

I worked in the communications division of a large company that was merging with another, and had to develop materials for merging the two corporate cultures  - but that was different, and specific to my job. I'd need more info to know how to answer this.
