Job as a receptionist at 16?

i've never worked before and I have never gone to school or done any volunteer work, would I be able to get a job as a receptionist?

  1. you've never gone to school? were you raised by wolves in a cave? If you haven't graduated high school or at least gotten a GED, you will have a hard time finding any job other than fast food


  2. well the first thing they will be asking for is your ability to deal with people, try marketing your people skills alot, they want to know if you can answer the phones and jog down notes, schedule meetings, and organise papers for your manager to sign...you also must know how to use microsoft office: word, excel, powerpoint, access...you know the basic stuff ! once you can demonstrate that you can do all that your in...and just a tip, wear a black suit (skirt not pants) that will make you look professional.

  3. Probably not.  It's not because you couldn't do the work, but because most receptionist jobs are during the day and you still have to finish high school.  You may be able to find an entry level evening recpetion job, but they don't pay much.  Good experience to grow into a company though.
