I applied once and got interviewed but the job fair that day was so bad that one of the managers lost my application and never called me back. I was told that i would be called lol(Yes i did try to call back but the manager was never around and i never got an answer as to what happened. A few months later when i went to starbucks the manager told me another manager from another starbucks probably had it and it got lost). So i filled out a new application since i saw that they were looking for people to hire, even part time. I sent my application yesterday, got a call today by a manager saying that a new Starbucks would open soon(10 minutes away from the community college which is right by the starbucks i applied to. So thats like 13min away from my house to this new starbucks that's about to be open). He said they were going to need people and that he would like to interview me. I said i was interested but wasn't sure about working at another Starbucks that i didn't apply for and one who was further away. I said i would think about it and get back to him tomorrow, he gave me his phone number. I have no experience in this field and never held a job yet(i'm 19). Are my chances possibly good? or should i be ready for another kthxbye, we will call you maybe(probably not).

  1. Any employer that loses your application; is careless.  If they care for their business; they'll do whatever not to lose a job application.  As far as it goes for Starbucks; I don't like them for personal reasons.  I applied for a job at the Starbucks near me, when they were hiring for the holiday season.  You would never believe how I was treated.  All I got was an attitude from the manager.

My suggestion for you is to keep on job searching, and apply at other places that are hiring.  Starbucks has been known to treat job applicants badly; and they do.  There is no reason for an employer to lose a job application; regardless of their excuse.
