Job for 16 year old in torrance area?

When I turned 16, I got a job as a teacher assistant; BUT... to do that in the LAUSD (or any L.A. district), you have to have a high school diploma and be enrolled in at least 12 college units (at a jr. college or university).

I had that at 16, so I got hired and they pay $10.74 an hour.

Plus you have to have passed their district tests, be bilingual in most cases (in Spanish, of course), and get proof of negative TB test. Also, you must have decent background in education and be in good standing while working with students. Oh, and your resume better be good.

BUT... since you most likely don't have this, the only thing I can suggest is... fast food.
