Job for High School Student

Question

Is it easier for a high school student to get a part time job during the school year or a part time job during the summer? Since our economy is decreasing (At least I think it is) will it still be possible for me to get a job during the school year (Because other adults might be competing for a job too..and I'm just a teen)?

Also, would a fast food place be an easy job to get hired for a high school student (preferably during the school year)? If you have any other suggestion for a job, please tell me!

There will always be competition for job.

In summer, you are competing against other teens and college students. Good jobs will go quick.

During school year, adults may pick up the job.

So basically, apply, no matter what the time is. The fast food places hire people who don't speak English. They hire anyone. Everyone.

Most of my friends work at like a McDonalds, or Burger King so yes they do hire teens....

I'd say shoot for a part time job during the summer, but if you can't go with the school year.

It will be difficult for you to get a job, but depending on your community and where you live it may be easy.

A fast food place is definitely a good, easy job for a HS student during the school year. They ESPEICALLY enjoy it when people are bilingual (for the most part, if you can speak English and Spanish fluently).

You can also try your local grocery store and ask if they need a teenager to help bag people's groceries for them!
