Question:

Job for college grad - italian and english speaking?

I'm getting my BA in May and am looking for a summer only job in Italy before I start graduate school. I am a native English speaker but I speak Italian fluently. My degree is in Latin and I also have a working knowledge of ancient Greek. I would like to do something like tour guide or teach English (though I have no certification) or work with English speaking tourists since I know Italy and the language so well. Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!

  1. You could try Contiki tours, although it may be a bit late now to apply..you never know!

It's not as easy to find a tour guide job without certifications, but maybe you could try asking directly at the travel agents. They often look for staff to help them out in the summer season, accompanying tourists on the coaches. You should probably try the biggest cities as well.. they're more in demand, hence more 'desperate' for workers.

    Good luck!
