Job help 18 year old young woman??

Question

looking for a job that only lasts about a week or two for an 18 year old. im leaving for college in threee weeks and i need to make some money before i go. i live in richmond, vA. PLease Help!!

It may not be the most pleasant job and you have to get up very early but you could try a Day Labor agency.  

You usually have to be there by 6 in the morning to sign in and the work may be something like factory work.  The good thing is they usually pay the same day you work.

Trying looking on craigslist or newspapers - See if someone needs some seasonal help for a very short period of time. Also look for weekend events (fairs, performances, etc) around the city and see if they need short term assistance - Some will pay.

Otherwise, I wouldn't bother. Few companies will be interested in investing time to train someone who is on the payroll for 3 weeks or less. Just take it easy and prepare for school.

try baby sitting.  i would say to get a job being a waitress somewhere, but you will have a week of training.
