Job ideas and immigration laws . . .

I live in England and when Im 18 I would like to move to Majorca in Spain . What are the immigration laws ? Dont you have to like have a job lined up and a house and a visa or something ? And any job ideas 4 what I could do for money ? I was thinkin workin in like a british bar bcos then ther will be no problem with me not speaking spanish lol . . . Pleeease answer x

Being a UK citizen you can go to Mallorca to live and work without any restriction. however, It's not as simple as that. To live there you will need money to rent accommodation. Bar work probably won't cover that cost unless you are sharing. Bar work will be hard work with long hours and the wages will be poor. I doubt you'll get any other work especially at the moment. To get an apartment you may need to pay upfront, so you will need money before you get here.

As for no language problems, yes, you may not need to speak Spanish in the bar, but believe me, there are other matters to deal with which may require you to speak Spanish. Apart from anything else, it is good manners to go to a foreign country and speak their language. The locals will appreciate you trying.

I would give this a little more thought. Spain is a great country, but I've seen so many kids come here and go home disillusioned.
