  1. There are a few Chinatowns in Australia:

    Melbourne http://www.chinatownmelbourne.com.au

    Sydney: http://www.chinatown.com.au

    http://www.chinatownsydney.com.au

    edit to add:

    Chinatown Adelaide: http://www.arta.com.au/samaps/adelaide/C...

    Chinatown Perth: http://www.perthwalkabout.com/thingstodo...

Brisbane Chinatown is located in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.

  2. Immigration and working visas for Australia are restricted to people with skills, qualifications and experience in occupations in which workers are in short supply. The required occupations are listed on the Skilled Occupations List (SOL).

    http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1121...

If your occupation is on the SOL, you must have your skills recognised here:

    http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/a-z.htm#a

You must also pass a points test and meet health, character and English language requirements. Go to http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/index.htm for all information.

I've never heard of a Chinese town here. Australia is a multicultural nation and immigrants are encouraged to maintain their culture, but our best immigrants are those who also make an effort to be part of the wider community.

  3. Starting point would be looking at http://www.workingin-australia.com - has links to Australia Immigration on there also.  You will have to do your research to see if you qualify.

Finding a house in Australia, the most common website is http://www.realestate.com.au for buying, renting or sharing.
