  1. No...there are plenty of unemployed Mexicans who speak English..and you need a work permit...hard to get...and PAY in Mexico is VERY low.  You cannot survive on what you would earn in Mexico.  And to get a work permit, you must find an employer who will sponsor your work permit...a LOT of work to do... just not a practical idea.  You cannot teach English here unless you have a degree in that and then you get paid less than the minimum wage in the U.S.

  2. Thats just as bad as people coming to the US and demanding we change our ways to accommodate them by speaking their language...Have you noticed that alot of things are in English and Spanish now?

If you choose to go to another country... you choose to speak their language, thats how it should be

  3. well i met an australian boy some MONTHS ago, he was  teaching english  in guanajuato..  by the words you wrote, i infer  you may want to work in a resort in cancun  or los cabos...  well , i don't think so...

the majority of american US citizens who are working   in mexico live in land,  teaching english  either in english academies or working as a freelance.....the touristic places may be overcrowded with tons of people wanting to work there.

i don't believe the people who say  you can't make end meets by working in mexico.....

I t depends on how skilled  you are...  I've met canadian girls who have been living in mexico for years , teaching english and at the same time  learning spanish.

by the way , there are a lot of people from europe and northamerica teaching foreign languages...  good luck!.

  4. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

-Become a professional (get a career).

    -Learn Spanish.

    -Marry a Mexican national.

-Understand the economics's, culture and life of Mexicans.

There are plenty of English speaking Mexicans competing for this type of work making very little money, so I think you have no chance.

The company that hires you must file with the government and you need to acquire a FM-3 (work permit) the Mexican government will not issue this for this line of work. You need to have skill's that will benefit the company and the country without imposing on there citizens.

  5. Sometimes you will, and as a free lance you have more chances. you need Spanish, no questions about it.. I´ve seen a lot of Americans working a realtors in Cancun, Puerto Vallarta or Cabo, you canwork on own like some Scuba instructors i know,  they work for the resorts but they are not employees...

  6. You could look into teaching English at a school.  Knowing Spanish will also help!

Some of the libraries need volunteers to teach English.

  7. you need to speak spanish too, you can be a translator or activites director (of some sort)
