  1. i was going to say the same... 4 year degree in renewable energy.

  2. Engineer in renewable energy.  Its a 4 year degree.

  3. I think this would be a wonderful job choice.  However (I'm going to be the one to burst the bubble), it's not a good choice, if you want to live and work in the U.S.A.

"Enviromentalists" have virtually stopped all new types of damns, and any sort of new hydroelectic from being built.  You might kill a fish.

Hydroelectric dams are being TAKEN DOWN, but not built, here in the U.S.A.

This is still a good carrier choice, if you don't mind working/living in other countries.

You need to be an Engineer, with at least a four year degree.  You will need to be very, very good at math, understand currents, and how water works, as well as geology, and ecology.

    Hydroelectric is wonderful, clean power.

You may find minor (short term) work in the U.S.A. for things like the Teton dam, in Idaho.  That was an earthen dam that failed, and killed a lot of people.  They are now concidering re-building that dam.  There will be projects like that from time to time in the U.S.A.

You would be able to find more employment in places like South America.  You are highly likely to be kidnapped and held for ransom in South America (if you are from North America).
