l have been for alot of job interviews, but only get jobs where l feel nobody applied and they don't work out because the problems they have with the organisation. l am a confident person, but not in job interviews ,and l don't sell myself enough. l don't know how to overcome this problem. l haven't had many jobs in the past as l feel l am a committed person and like to stay with the same orgainsation. My most work has been in medical in office work. When l go for a job interview it is always different, l always do my research of the company and what the criteria is for the job, but l can tell at the interview that l am not the one. l have alot of skill in administration and have just completed certificate 111 in medical administration but still can't get a job. l am starting to think it could be my age, l am in my 40's and they could be looking for a young person. how can l build my confidence up and what should l say when they ask me tell me about my self?

  1. Have confidence in the interview. You have to inspired the interview board that you are the best. If they don't get you, it is their loss.

  2. dress s**y

  3. Well chic, I use to have the same problem. They give a free class at your local unemployment office on how to get the job you want. I have had only one job in my life that i have applied to and didn't get after I took that class. It was a life savor. They also teach you how to fill out applications and make a resume'. They help you out with what to and what not to say in a interview. But if you don't have the time to take the classes, then make sure you wear a nice black dressy outfit. I would go with black slacks, black blazer over a white dress shirt. always carry a scatchel or breifcase with your resume and just folders filled with whatever you can find. I always wear my hair in a bun with a PENCIL through the bun. If you don't have long hair, then always part it to the side. Make sure your nails are nicely trimmed and not to long. When describing yourself, be truthful but not to deep. Don't say alot of ummmms, yeahs and ands. Shows you are not confident. Always sit up straight with just ankles crossed and always to the side. Don't talk to much with your hands as well. That shows you are to jumpy and ready to jump out of your seat, lol. When asked a question that you can give just a yes or no answer to, always juat answer yes or no and add mam' or sir afterwards. Always act like you are confident even if you are not, if you think it is your age, then it will be, if you think it is your clothes, it will be. Just relax, employers can always see tension. I hope this helps you out in the future, GL and BEST WISHES
