  1. Interview tips from a business student:

Dress nicely. No cleavage, sensible shoes. Clean breath, no gum.

If you have a reason for not understanding what people are saying, explain it politely and reassure the interviewer that it won't be a problem, or that you are working on it. Or, another way to do that w/o having to admit you have a problem is to restate what they said in a different way. If they agree, then you have it right. If they disagree, they will probably explain it again.

If you have an email, make sure it is something very plain, like John_Smith, instead of something that is silly like sexybunny555. If you bring a resume, make sure it is has perfect spelling and grammar, and is on plain paper.

If you have a lead on another job, but don't want this one to get away, say you are "considering all my options" not "prefer a different job."

  2. 1. ACT CONFIDENT

are trying to get (ex.- you want a job at a restaurant-  he asks: "tell me about yourself" don't say "i like to swim" say " well, i love cooking and cook for my entire family every morning and at dinner")

    4. look NICE

    5. firm but not overpowering handshake

    6. DO NOT figet or move nervously in ur seat

    8. don' t fake emotions

    9. Give direct answers- don't ramble (ex. he asks "whats ur favorite color" say "blue" not " ummmmmmmm, blue, or orange, well i kinda like hot pink...)

    10. NEVER use filler words (ummmm, like, aaaaaah, hmmm, etc.)

    11. even if u don't know what you are being asked, answer like you understood him perfectly

GOOD LUCK- you should do fine
