  1. I can understand how you feel.  I've bee on heaps of interviews in my working life, and I still get nervous.  It's not so much the nervousness, but keeping it under control and making work for you.  If you can, find out about deep-breathing relaxation techniques and learn these, so you can use these before you go in.

I find a few important things to remember:

    1.  the interviewer is likely just as nervous as you are.  So there's some comfort there.

    2.  The interview is more like a meet and greet: they've seen that you look good on paper, so "let's see what you are like in person, and see if we have any sort of chemistry/connection".

    3.  You can't be hanging all your hopes on this one interview, because it's just as likely not work out.  They might feel you won't fit in.  Equally, you may hate them, because they've offended you in some way.  You just never know.

I believe that once that last point is accepted, you'll realise it becomes a numbers game, and so you'll start to relax more and be more confident in yourself.

Don't get me wrong though, there are lots of techniques that can tip the scales in your favour and cut the numbers of interviews you'll need to attend, but it's still a numbers game.  A good place I recently found for some additional general info is the interview skills blog (see below).

  2. eye contact.  keep it and you can't go wrong.  good luck.

  3. well just let them know what you would bring to the table if they hire your remember they will hire someone that will be good for there company that can there company grow. you could say things like consistency, honesty and hard work. just relax be confident you were already called so they can probably see, due to your credentials, that you are probably what there looking for..good luck

  4. Be yourself. Really, sound too simple but its true.  I have been working for  years, have been interviewed and done the interviewing myself.  Most employers just want an idea of what kind of person you are. How you talk and whether you'll fit in.

Be easy going and calm but not laid back like you're with friends.  Have you ever visited your parent's friends at their house? Be like that: friendly yet courteous. Smile and listen to the person talking to you.  Be prepared to ask them some questions at the end (they will judge you on whether you do or not).  I always ask: what might be my typical duties in a day or week?  What type of person do you think will do well in this job.  Every single time I have asked that last question, the employer said: "Good question!! Someone just like you!"

    good luck

  5. if they ask u a random question you don't know

    just say

"i'll get back to you about that one "

    then laugh

    :D

  6. Be yourself. If you are nervous, remember every job applicant is nervous. You must be pretty bright to even be applying for this job, so take that confidence in with you. If you feel scared, say that out loud in the interview. Tell them it's your first. Then try to listen carefully and keep eye contact with your interviewer. I bet you will do much better than you think you will!  We all wish you good luck. We'll be pulling for you.

  7. they'll probably ask you questions like.what would you in a situation... relevant to what ever skills are needed for that job.

like if you needed customer service. just tell then what you would do to handle it. then if you can tell them a similar situation where you had to use your customer service skills.
