Job like Peace Corps that PAY ???

Question

i'm interested in traveling, helping people and I don't have a lot of money for plane fees or boarding expenses.

What is a good program to join like the peace corp that pays for you to travel and assists in your boarding?

Harsh as it is, if you are relatively unskilled, no one will want to pay your way. They can hire an unskilled local to do the same job for much less; they don't have to pay his/her air fare, and that's one less local unemployed. That is why 92 percent of all PCVs have a college degree.

Peace Corps isn't a job.  You are paid a stipdend by the US Goverment to volunteer in a host country.

They pay for your flight, medical expenses, everything.

The only way to get paid a full salary like you want is to go to the selectetd country and get a job, apartment, car etc...

The closest alternatives that I know about are www.vso.org.uk and the United Nations.

But both are more exclusive than Peace Corps.

If you have skills it won't be a problem.  Buf if you are relatively unskilled, then you probably won't be accepted anywhere that is going to pay your way.

there are many organizations out there that you can work with.. they are mostly volunteer based, but if you have a little to pay up front, it will cover everything while you are working with them.  There are also organizations that you will pay your travel, room and board after you do some training with them.  If you search working abroad, or volunteering abroad there are many sites that will come up... i have listed a few below
