I have been offered a job for £350 per day plus VAT- does this mean that the employer pays the VAT on my daily rate or I pay the VAT?

Here is what he put... Rate: £360 per day + plus VAT

  1. any jobs going??

  2. With that much money doe's it really matter?

  3. He's paying the VAT - you will need to provide him with your VAT number and an invoice weekly/monthly whatever. You are VAT registered??

  4. This does not look like an employed position. He could only pay VAT on top of your daily rate if you were VAT registered.

This looks like self employment which means you have no employment rights and he can fire you at any time.
