  1. if they sponsor u then yes it will otherwise u have to check up on the australian immigration website for which to apply for if u have been offered the job already

  2. the only way it will help is if the employer is willing to go through all the process to sponsor you,and i think he must advertise the job to Australians first(not to sure on that point)

  3. Australian immigration visas are restricted to people who work in occupations in which workers are in short supply in this country.

Your occupation must appear on our Skilled Occupations List (SOL) and/or on the Migrant Occupations in Demand List (MODL) which is a subset of the SOL and includes the most urgently required occupations. If your job is on the SOL or MODL, you must also pass a points test and meet character and health requirements and applicants from non-English speaking countries also need to meet English language requirements. Additional points on the points test are earned if you have a job offer though in some cases, having sponsorship means that an applicant does not need to pass a points test.

MODL occupations also earn additional points and receive priority processing.

Following are links to everything you need to know:

    http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/pdf/1121... (the current SOL)

    http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-s... (the MODL)

    http://www.immi.gov.au/asri/a-z.htm#p (info. re skills recognition)

    http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-s... (the points test)

    http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/index.htm (all other immigration information)

The .immi website is very easy to use and very informative and everything you need to know is in there somewhere.

    Good luck.

  4. you cant just find any old job in Australia just so you can emigrate there. you need to prove that you will be of some kind of use to the country. find out what they are short of - eg nurses, doctors, engineers, pilots etc etc etc, and get qualified in the relevant area to show your worth to the country.

  5. No it doesn't. To immigrate through employment you need to be sponsored by your employer, or if you want to do it yourself get a skill that is in demand, for example nursing.

Ask your employer if they will sponsor you, but it will cost them a lot of money and they have to prove no one else in Australia can do the job.

My friend went to Australia for one job, left the job and her next job sponsored her, so you never know...

  6. Yup. Accept the job, ask for that emerald green card and the wizard'll fix it. It's 'cos of the wonderful things he does.
