I'm not exactly sure what you're asking here but let's assume you are offered a job but you have to interview for it first.  

This is a very normal situation.  Someone may think you will work for a job but you and the job may not be a good match.  So, instead of employing you for two weeks and wasting the time because it wasn't a fit, it's better to find out right away.
