I just got hired at a retail store and the manager asked me to bring in two recommendation letters, but I have no previous work expirience.

Who should write the recommendation letters?

  1. You should give the manager a call and ask him/her what she would suggest.  It sounds like a lazy way to have a reference for your paperwork vs, she/he MAKING the phone call as they should.

Maybe a teacher or someone you babysat for?  Preacher, neighbor or friend of your parents also if they still insist on these!

  2. teacher or pastor, or someone high up in your community, the mayor of my town is like my neighbor and he let me put him down as a reference for my lifeguarding job

  3. a former teacher, a minister, a long term friend, some one you have worked on a project with.

Those are the chioices I would use, in that order.

    Good luck

  4. YOUR parents
