For some reason Tha yanks are not sending Rasner down or taking him out of the rotation.

Since Joba will miss a start Ian Kennedy will probably get the start and he does good we may bench Rasner.

So do you think Joba missing a start will hurt the yanks or help them?

  1. will a good thing bcuz then ian kennedy will get a much needed start

  2. Joba might miss his next start but dont see how its good for Yankees. he has pitched well, and before last night went in with a 2.53 ERA. If Kennedy is given the nod, his ERA is usually in the 4's. Yanks pen though will have to be at its best. I liked Rasner at first but needs some work. Wheres Mel!!

  3. IAN Kennedy is 3-0 with a 1.50 era at SWB!!! im excited for his next start :)

  4. Its already said and done that Rasner is out of the rotation. Dan Giese will replace Rasner. Now that Joba is hurt we could be seeing Rasner take his next start OR kennedy take his next start. There is NO way that this can help the yankees.

  5. I dont think joba missing one start will hurt the yanks. rasner has been taken out of the rotatation .

  6. Hurt em'. Always bad to have a pitcher out of rotation. Who saw the Yankees Rangers Game on Monday Night. Yanks were winnin' 4-2 in the 6th. Joba got hurt, and then the almighty rangers (ima #1 fan)crushed the yanks 9-5 when joba left.

  7. It's always important for a pitcher to rest his arm. Even if the Yankee lose this game, it'll still help the team in the long run. Joba is a talented, young pitcher and have the tendency to overthrow pitches so it's crucial he get some rest to avoid injury. Besides, it's still a little early in the season. So Juba missing a start is a good thing.

  8. I think I will hurt them.  Ian Kennedy has been doing good in the minors but you cant replace Joba at this moment he's been too good.

  9. Of course it's going to hurt some because he was probably going to pitch against the Angels in Anaheim. And you need a good pitcher to deal with a lineup like that.

The only positive in all this is that the Yankees will get to see if any of their guys from the minors are ready to step back into Major League ball. I'm not sure about Kennedy, honestly. I'd give Phil Hughes a better chance to do well, but he's further away.

But the season must roll on. Hope the bats can produce for the rest of this trip. They'll have to.

  10. That would be a bad thing to happen. He has won the last 4 of 5 games that he's pitched in.
