Jobs For 14 Year Olds In UK?

me and a friend are both 14 and would like to get a job. We live in Scotland, Uk. Were not sure what kind of jobs would hire us at our age (we are wanting a paying job).

Any ideas of what we can do legally?

Any websites that could help?

this is mad but it works try shampoo, wet the area shampoo then slowely work it out with your fingers.

Paper round is the only legal job you're allowed at your age

This is a pretty good website, lays out clearly what you can and cannot do.

At your age (and now) I did a lot of babysitting, which was a really good little money-earner, and my friend does a paper-round.

If you don't fancy that, you could always go round your local small shops, cafes, hotels, restaurants etc. and ask if they're looking to employ anyone at the moment.

Unfortunately, many employers won't look at candidates until they are 16, but that doesn't mean you definitely won't find anything.

Yeah a paper round is probably the safest option but I have known girls that have been waitress' at that age, although one time one girl spilt boiling water all over her feet, and the cafe found out she was lying about her age (medical staff/records) so she was fired.
