Jobs Involving Animals

Question

I have always wanted to do something which involves animals.I cant even imagine doing anything else. :).

Does anyone know what kind of jobs are out there????

Oh i would prefer wild animals but i dont really want to wotk in a zoo.

I'm going into Wildlife Biology and Conservation, maybe you could try that.

Jeff Corwin is a wildlife biologist, sometimes he will display his work on the television show.  Most of the time he's just introducing exotic animals to the viewers, but I also watched an episode where he was doing scientific research and attaching radio collars onto lions.

Oh, and you don't necessarily have to work in a zoo with this career, though you probably could if you wanted to.  You could work with universities, the government, independant companies, national parks, state parks, and so on with this career.  And the pay averages 30-40 grand a year, and, if I remember correctly, extends to about 60-100 grand a year with more experience.

You could also help out at an animal sanctuary. You wouldn't get paid, but you would get the fantastic feeling of knowing you're helping make lives better. :)
