Jobs and school? need opinions?

ok so i'm a sophomore in high school and my parents won't let me have a job during the schoolyear. not that i really want one-between school, 3 sports, violin lessons and piano lessons, i don't really see where i would have time to work. (and by the way, i have to have a job over the summer). i was just wondering if you guys think that's weird, because some of my friends think that it's rediculous. thanks!

Not wierd at all....your friends are probably a little jealous that you actually have parents that care.

I don't think it's weird.  School is the most important thing in your life right now.  In that sense, it's like a job.  You need to do your best to insure your future success.  I think your parents have your best interest at heart and you should be glad they do.

i just have to say im insulted by whoever said her friends must be jealous because i am and im not jealous. but ithink its just odd that her parents wont even try with a job during the school year and see how it goes. and what not.

That is not wierd you have so much other time invested in sports and music. You need as much time to work on your school work as possible. Working over the summer is good though.
