  1. i was paid 7 when i started .. what city are you from? its not worth it if you have to put 100$ of gas a month to drive to disneyland but overall its a hard job you get customors nonstop and imagine your in the sun all day lol

  2. I did the college program in the fall of 2000.

It wasn't really great. It wasn't really awful. But it was really something.

Not sure if that makes sense or not...

As a college program kid, we were pretty much the bottom of the totem pole so that part was rough because we didn't get paid much and had horrible schedules.

It was fun getting to go play at the parks for free though and Orlando is an awesome city.

I met a lot of people although i haven't really kept in touch with very many.

Bottom line: If its something you want to do, and you have the opportunity, you should go for it. The experience will be what you make it.  :)

  3. well i never worked there but i would think it is fun.  i love disney world!

  4. it doesn't matter if you are a full time employee or in the college work program. the truth is you will work crazy hours. remember, the parks are open seven days a week, 365 days a year and open for a large part of the day. some positions like maintenance and repairs could be have schedules that run almost 24/7. so don't think you will be able to work 9-5 monday thru Friday. but that is true of most retail work.  if you were to get a job at a mall you would probably have similar hours.  however, if you are okay with the hours, its not a bad place to work.

like any job, it is still a job. you will be required to show up on time, in uniform and give it your best. depending on your position and experience will determine how much you get paid. and your benefits will vary depending on the level of job you get. what almost every employee gets is free admission to the parks, discounts and in some cases, a limited number of free passes for friends and family.

remember, if you flip burgers at McDonald's or at the Magic Kingdome, its the same thing but i think MK's benefits (going to the park for free) are better.
