heres my question. i am not trying to be a whiner, but,i am alittle up set. i live like 25 min. from the plant. they are hiring about 2500 people and the only way to get a job their is to know somebody that works their. the people that work their get referrals when gm is hiring, they put your name and number and turn it back in to like a lottery. my problem is i know nobody that works their, therefore,i don't even have a chance. i don't think it is fair when i need a job just like everybody else. just wondering if that is legal. or if anyone knows of an agency to report that to i just don't think that is right.

  1. I don't know anyone personally who works there, but I do know that GM uses a lot of temp agencies to fill a lot of their positions.  You may want to consider contacting Aerotek (http://www.aerotek.com/).  Several years ago, Aerotek won a bid with GM to provide sole staffing services to them.  You can fill out an application online and if you are qualified, an Aerotek representative will contact you to discuss open positions.

Your other bet would be to find a position listing for an open job at GM and apply for it.  You may be able to find one online on Aerotek's website.
