Jobs for young people?

Don't listen to the chick above me, I think at 10 it's a real good thing you want to have a job. Shows a lot of responsibility.

There isn't a whole lot out there unfortunatly but yes, a paper route is a good way to start. You could also post some flyers or put an ad in the paper for raking leaves, shoveling snow, other yard work of such. You could walk dogs, there are a lot of lazy people or buisy people out there willing to pay for this kind of service.

Honestly, when I hear of a kid (no offense..lol) WANTING to work at your age, I would for sure let you make some cash raking leaves or walking my dog!.

Put up flyers in your neighborhood,(parents concent of cource) stating your looking for odd jobs to earn some cash. Put your age and people will honestly be a bit impressed with your responsibility to earn cash yourself.

Sorry, that wasn't ten, but I'm sure your get lots of people with suggestions in your neighborhood.

doing peoples yard work, like ringing peoples doorbell and asking if they want you to rake their yard for $5 or something.
