  1. When you ask a question like this there are only two basic kinds of answers you are going to get:

    1.  Responses (like this one) telling you that you are going to get a bunch of spam about scams.

    2.  Spam.  (Some of the spammers may post unkind remarks about this but that's OK with me.  They are still spam.)

  2. Here's a real answer.  Think about what you like to do.  Do you like working in the outdoors?  You live in CA so the weather is nice year around, how about yard work for senior citizens?  You could print up some flyers and go door to door or post on bulletin boards at grocery stores etc.  Like children, you can babysit.  Like dogs, you can dog walk.  Good at computers, offer to teach older adults how to email etc.  Got any office skills at all?  Ask around (family, friends, church) and see if anyone needs someone to help out occasionally at their office.  We used to hire two teenage girls to help us with our big holiday mailings.  Offer to clean out garages, basements and see if you can keep some of the junk and then have a yard sale.  Are you good in math, english, spelling?  Offer to tutor elementary school kids for an hour a day. Do you like crafts or scrap booking?  Again, you could make things to sell or offer your services to organize old photos that people have stuck in boxes.

At your age, you have to think creatively.  Who knows you may become a real entrepreneurr!
