Jobs in Kentucky for 14 year olds?

Question

I am 14, and I got this invitation to go to Japan next summer, but I don't know if I have to pay or not. So I am trying to get a job, but I don't know of any places that hire. I live in Covington, Kentucky, in the Latonia area. And I really, really need a job. So if you know of any places, could you please help me out? Thank you whomever answers. Love you all.

There are virtually no jobs out there for your age group because of child labor laws.

Some employers are even backing off hiring until 17, 18 nowadays so they'll have more shift options for working their employees.

Mow lawns. This is what my brother did. Be professional and you could end up with enough repeat customers for several summers. You can also offer to rake in the fall, help lay mulch in spring and fall, shovel snow in the winter, and/or clean up in the spring.

If you aren't looking for money, but just want something to stay busy, you might want to contact local hospitals about serving as a teen volunteer. I know UK Hospital has them. They do things like deliver patient mail/flowers, run errands for staff, etc. Looks good on a college application. Also gets your foot in the door if you are thinking about a career in health care.

You can get a job at kentucky fried chicken. LOL!!! Just kidding, you can go to any store, supermarket perfer and just talk to the manager and ask them that you would love to work for them but is underage and ask if they have something for someone your age. But you got to show them that you have what it takes.

I'm a 16 yr old girl from jersey. I've done babysitting and worked with my mom and some friends at there jobs. So maybe if your friends parents need help doing something at their job or at there home. Mayb you can babysit. Mayb you can work at a super market, like i don't know if there are these super markets in Kentucky, but maybe you can work at Shop Rite. Japan sounds like so much fun. im 14 nd  i work at mcdonalds . u can try any fast food restaurants

Mow some yards.  Do some babysitting.  Call the neighbors, see if they have any odd jobs that need doing.  

A lot of people are telling you to go to restaurants and places like that to work.  You can't.  It's not legal for you to work there until you are 16 years old.  Most insurance won't cover anyone under 16 either.

Don't say love, plz it's just freaky. I know sum1 that is 14 that hung around a gas station quite a bit, so they gave him a job, part time, after school and on weekends, and most of the time when we go there, he is the only other one besides the owner working...great kid. :)
