  1. I would think you at least need a degree in social work.

  2. talk to a school counselor, but i think you would need to have alot of schooling due to the fact the job deals with alot of emotions and you have to be able to handle that.

  3. You would probably want to go into something in the Human Relations field.  Another option would be psychology.  You could also go into family law.

    ~Case Worker

    ~Foster Parent Coordinator

~Guardian ad litem (a court appointed lawyer to represent the child)

    ~Therapist

  4. hi.

although i don't know of any university degree programs that offer a "bachelor/masters degree in adoption" the best bet is to study any of the social sciences.

    some examples include:

    -social work

    -sociology

    -human services

    -psychology

depending on where you wish to work (a private or non-profit agency or a governmental agency) i would focus more on the social work program, and be sure to get licensed.

also, you can simply run a "monster.com" search on "adoption counselor" and see what educational/experience is required.

  5. Nearly all adoption workers are Social Workers.
