Jobs in Paris?

Does anyone know a company that is employing people in Paris although their French is quite basic?

I am currently finishing my Psychology Degree, but would love to work in Paris for a while to refresh my language skills during doing my Masters Degree.

I would work in Bars, Call Centers, etc.

  1. be a french maid or a hooker

  2. you'll need a working authorization as a student it'll be easy, if you want to improve your french don't try disneyland or pubs cause you won't speak french there, I've done that. Try department stores they always look for english speaking people the good part is that your coworkers will be french

  3. There is a program for language assistants. You can go there for a year to teach english, it's not only Paris, but all France, but you can ask to go to Paris.

It's 12 hours a week with 1,000 euros per month as a pay. Enough to live, but Paris it's really expensive.

Try looking for information at: www.ciep.fr

  4. interesting question

  5. How about trying for a job at Disneyland Paris. They take on hundreds of staff a year for their restaurants, bars, etc.

And its only 1/2 hour train ride from downtown Paris.

  6. Depends where you're from and what your native language is. I'd say language teaching is a good way to make fairly good money without working nights, as long as you know a language people want to learn. Language schools in Paris hire all year round and many don't require teaching qualifications.

Why on earth would you want to do a masters in Paris, btw? The French higher education system is rubbish. Poor material conditions and a worse standard of "teaching".

  7. Good luck. It's not easy. I can advise you to find a job in a british irish or american pub or restaurant. I'm french and I live in Paris.

  8. Without a strong command of French, your odds of finding a job are quite low.  Good luck to you, though.
