im looking into doing guest services for an airline in australia as a job for about 3-5 years after completing school ,

ive done all the research into the job and requirements but lately with all the job cuts as a result of fuel, im beginning to consider whether ill have a chance at at secure term working for an airline as ive heard job cuts being numbered in the thousands.

does anyone have any input as to whether working for an airline is really such a secure job anymore?

  1. Yes, working in an airline industry is still a secure job because annually passenger volume are rising-  meaning the demand exist. As to the job within the airline industry, the most secure would be the pilot's job.

  2. Nothing is even remotely secure in the aviation field, no matter how long you have been with a company.  I suggest a different line of work, or at least a different industry.
