Question:

Jobs teaching English in the Ravenna/Rimini region???? Advice?

I'm hoping to move to Italy later this year and want to find a job teaching English. I'm half Italian so I have an EU passport but only speak very basic conversational Italian. I have an undergraduate degree but no specific teaching qualifications. However, I do have experience teaching English (in Korea). Can anyone offer advice on job hunting in Italy, which types of institutions to avoid, etc? Can I find a good job without a teaching qualification? How much can I expect to earn? Thanks!!

  2. ravenna and rimini aren't big. my family and i have been living near rimini a while..my sister has a degree in languages but never found anything worth her while near here. she made out quite well teaching the military near ancona and has now moved to rome to teach english at RAI (main ITALIAN TV STATION) do some more research...i'm sure you'll find a job but they don't pay that well here and they'll try to cheat you out of as much money as they can.

if you do private lessons you'll probably make out better, you decide how much to ask an hour(don't exagerate or nobody will call!)

when you actually move here, I live in San Marino (15minutes from rimini) i can give you a few pointers!

Choose Ravenna, it is beautiful. Rimini is a toilet with flashing lights.
