  1. make sure you study hard at maths, you will need it for any sort of science career. practice looking after your own little bit of the world while you are at school, e.g. join a local conservation group, you will learn lots of stuff that will translate well to environmental science type jobs, have fun and do the planet some good right now.

    good luck!

  2. Well, not real sure because that's in south America and mostly in Brazil. They speak Portuguese there and have lots of tribes that live in the amazon jungle.

The best I could think of is to join the peace corps and go there to help the Indians and natives. You might consider living with them to join their plight in trying to save their lands. People have been killed trying to do this, so you have to expect danger. I think you can lower your environmental aspirations a bit and stick closer to home.

It`s more doable and not as dangerous. I recycle water back to nature as a job and been doing it for a long time and is very necessary. Pays good too! Look into it all you need is a high school diploma. Good luck to you!

  3. Ok, do this!

Go volunteer for your local tree planting agency. Mine is Our City Forest, I'm from San Jose, CA. When you gain arbor experience, you have a better chance of working with scientists in the rainforest fields.

Make sure your major is in Environmental Studies, Environmental science or the sort; try to go to a good college for these programs, like UC Berkeley.

Usually they have study abroad programs where you can go to a South American country and study the amazon rainforest. My university, San Jose State, offers a course that is in Peru to study the benefits of the rainforest and the effects of deforestation.

There's so much you can do, thanks for keeping an open mind.
