Question:

Jockey silks?

Are there any auctioneers out there to help.

I have a Willie Carson framed jockey silks colour blue and white, used when riding the top sprinter, Dayjur. The cap and shirt are both autographed, along with a photo of the horse.

Has anybody any idea of it's worth please.

  1. i remember dayjur it was a top horse owned by sheick hamden al maktoum/really you want to put it in a specialist auction

  2. it will depend on wat quality and how the silks condition is like

  3. omg,one of the unluckest losers you will ever see.he was in a battle in the home straight of of the 1990 breeders cup sprint,he was finally getting the better of his american rival, then as they approached the grandstand,it casted a shadow over the track ,but only half of it and dayjur was was still in the daylight, but the chimmney bit of the grandstand casted a bigger shadow and poor dayjur jumped it thinking it was a hole and lost valuable momentum and lost the race!!!

  4. it shall be hard to value..! as if was on soething like ebay would go for approx 75- 125.. however at a shop or on a horse tracks shop would prob put up for 500 .. its very hard to put value on such items.

  5. I don't think your going to get a bunch for it

maybe 200 tops Take them to the race track or contact the owner and ask them if they want them ?

But he was Not that famous

or try e-bay  remember you don't have to sell them

Ps how did you get them ?

They really belong to the owner of the horse because those are his colors and he paid for the silks !!
