I am independant, not democrat, not republican. Joe is Joe. If you actually pay attention instead of let Fox News some other idiots give you your information than just shut up. Otherwise, if you are smart, then what do you think will come of this pick? I think nothing but good can come from it. Please please tell!

  1. Well, Rush Limbaugh prayed on radio show that Obama would select Biden as his VP choice.

That's about all anyone needs to know. Beating up on Obama and Biden will not even require any effort. Their own words are all that is needed.

  2. Great choice! I always liked Biden. And I agree with Sassy, he must be good or else the Cons wouldn't be so upset

  3. I have always loved this man. Just watching him speak I have respected how he was not on an ego trip, he is an energetic, hard working man. When I read about his life I was so sad to hear about his wife & baby daughter being killed in a car accident when he was only 29 & his 2 sons were in critical condition. Now one of those sons who is a Captain in the National guard is leaving for Iraq on Oct 3rd. Biden was the youngest person to ever be in whatever position he was in (sorry I can't remember) but this shows what an accomplished person he has always been. He is my hero & so is Obama for giving his service to our country when he graduated from a top University & yet gave over 3 years of his life to help people who really benefited from his help. McCain says he is a hero but he voted so that the P.O. W's would not be found. He was afraid they would tell that he is a traitor. He has admitted to this & yet republicans call him a hero, that is insane.

  4. The column linked below praising Biden by David Brooks, a conservative commentator (a genuine conservative, not a right-wing authoritarian like Rush or Hannity) says it all:  Biden is a great choice.

  5. You must also love smary used car salesman as well.

  6. I think he's a great choice. He's a real asset to the ticket and the country.

  7. Joe Biden is a strong pick - I think it gives solid weight to the ticket!

    CAN'T WAIT FOR NOVEMBER!!

  8. I agree. I have always like Biden a lot. He's much more of a straight talker than Grandpa McCain.

  9. Agree.  Joe is the perfect choice.  The Republicans are really freaking out this morning, that can only be good news for Obama/Biden.

  10. My personl feeling on this one:  Biden will sink the Obama campaign.  Even though both Obama and McCain will work for the Council on Foreign Relations agenda, it looks like McCain is their boy.

Biden is one of the most anti-gun politicians in the Senate.  He is in the forefront of those leading those seeking to undermine the Second Amendment.  For that reason, millions who might have voted for Obama (because they believed the nonesense about "change"), will either stay home, or vote for Dr. Strangelove.

  11. Biden is the best choice.  He was my choice for the nomination but the VP job will do.

  12. Disagree. With all the talk about "a war that should never have been waged or authorized" Obama now picks a VP candidate who not only voted in favor of authorization to use military force but defended the rationals which were clearly lies.

Obama's credibility as the anti war candidate if that was needed to anyone not fooled by the two party charade is totally shattered and for what? A candidate with zero star power or voter base.

The political trajectory of the Obama campaign and the preparations for the reactionary media spectacle to be staged in Denver underscore the impossibility of carrying out any struggle against war, political reaction and the destruction of the living standards and basic rights outside of the independent political mobilization of the working class based on a socialist program.

Once again this November, the two-party system will offer no means of expressing the massive popular opposition to war, but rather an empty choice between two big business candidates who are committed to the expanded use of militarism in pursuit of US corporate and financial interests

Second there's Biden's own credibility that sinks by accepting. "Biden dropped out of the 2008 race for the Democratic presidential nomination after a poor finish in the Iowa caucuses, but not before he talked dismissively of joining someone else's ticket.

"I am not running for vice president," he said in a Fox interview. "I would not accept it if anyone offered it to me. The fact of the matter is I'd rather stay as chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee than be vice president." "

Then there are the many attacks on Obama that make the Clinton's statements, those Obama supporters freak out about, seem very mild. As late as 2007 Biden said he would stand by his statement Obama is not ready to be President. I see another lost election for the Democrats
