I dont know about you but i think calzaghe will out-box him for 12 rounds.joes got dangerous handspeed and great stamina.hes by far the better boxer and will move round the ring and hopkins wont be able to hurt him.hopkins will come forward with his head down like he always dose and eat jabs all fight long.hopkins has a good denfence and chin so wont get hurt but likes to get on the inside and wont be able to with calzaghe.hopkins also likes to counter punch sometimes but wont be able to catch calzaghe clean.i also think hopkins is past it after seeing the fight with winky wright.i thought winky won that fight by 2 points.both are past there best and it was not a very good fight.calzaghe is not past it.after watching the kessler fight and seeing kesslers fights before i know that calzaghe did a great job of staying clear of kesslers power and controling the fight.the only way i see calzaghe loseing is if he gets into one of his toe to toe battles which i think will happen but joes

  1. Calzaghe will wipe the smile off Hopkins big mouth and knock the chip off the *** jockey's shoulder at the same time.

I'm going to enjoy watchin Hopkins get taken to the cleaners by "A WHITE BOY". maybe then he might look up the meaning "humble" in the dictionary as I hope he's hungry as there is a big bit of that pie comin his way!!!!

  2. calzaghe has the speed, stamina, footwork and heart on the other hand hopkins has the mouth, hype, racism and idiotic power. thats the bottom line hopkins hasnt got a hope in h***s chance of winning it will be a wasted fight for joe i would rather see him fight jeff lacy again it would be a bigger challenge for him lmao!

  3. Joe Calzaghe does do some things wrong he does hold his chin up a bit and when he fires his combinations he does slap with some of his punches, but he has a tremendous work rate, a great chin, and when he boxes like second half of Kessler fight he is brilliant... sometimes likes to mix it too much...Hopkins is  a great fighter too he gets into your head, counter punches great ,always has a great fight plan for each fighter and sticks too it... Hopkins vs Tarver and Winky he controlled those fights easy fighting in spurts and controlling it with his ring movement... Calzaghe has quicker footwork and hand speed also fights for 3 minutes every round...Hopkins cant do that he wont be able to control the pace of the fight against Calzaghe... Calzaghe throws too many punches and will beat Hopkins

  4. Tough fight too call ... calzaghe is defintly the favorite. You can never count Hopkins out though i think he still has enough left even at his age to pull off another big win. I dont think Joe is the better boxer he has better hand speed and possibly more stamina. The fight is tough to call because nobody has seen calzaghe against world class competition and no sorry Kessler does not count , so nobody knows how he will handle the pressure of fighting in the U.S. and fighting a legend like Hopkins. I thought Hopkins looked pretty d**n good in his last two fights and defintly thought he deserved the decision against winky. No question Hopkins will make it an ugly fight and use any tatcis/tricks to frustrate Joe. Hopkins has fought everyone out there and regardless to the arguement of size difference he was the only fighter ever to ko de la hoya and trinidad. This fight wont be anything new to hopkins and wont be his toughest challenge but defintly will be Joe's. Bottom line Calzaghe needs this fight and to win bad, for Hopkins it wont hurt him at all if he loses but thats not the point. I know he is hoping Calzaghe comes after him right away and throws a lot of punches thats exactly what hopkins wants..... to show off his counter punching ability. Anyway I pick hopkins to win by decision.

  5. Joe Calzaghe. He always finds a way to win. His hand speed is incredibly fast, he never gets tired, and he has tremendous heart. I've seen him get knocked down only to come back and knock the opponent out in the same round! He will not knock out Hopkins, but he will win by unanimous decision.

  6. a close fight.. but some people forget that Hopkins has been fighting at a heavier weight for some time now.. anyway, Joe has some unbelievable skills. Hopkins is also skilled but he is getting really old but he's still got it.. anyway I'm going with Hopkins on this one.
