Joe Calzaghe vs Chad Dawson?

Who would win this match-up?

I would have to go with Chad Dawson by unanimous decision.  As fast as Calzaghe is, I actually think that Dawson is faster and throws harder combinations (many of Calzaghe's punches are actually open handed slaps).  It would probably be a good fight between two fast undefeated southpaws, but Chad is simply too young, and skilled for Calzaghe at this stage- thats why I know that Calzaghe won't fight him; he knows himself that he would most likely lose.  I don't blame him for fighting a faded Roy Jones, Jr. though because more dangerous opponents like Dawson or Pavlik don't bring as much to the table as Roy does (even if Roy is a shell of himself).

Joe needs to step-up and fight Pavlik.

Beat Pavlik in america or welshland and Joe has nothing more to prove and will retire the greatest that has ever lived.

I'd have to give it to Chad by UD.

But to answer the question who did Dawson just fight...that would be Glen Johnson. I actually think Johnson would beat Calzaghe. But that's just my thought.

Joe is much better. He only did bad aganist Bernard because of him putting his head down abd cheating the whole night.

Dawson by UD, calzaghe's other light heavy fight was against the lighter punching, orthodox, 43 year old bernard hopkins, and calzaghe put in a terrible performance, although he did win the fight. Calzaghe was even dropped by a right hand in the 1st rd, and hopkins is a former middleweight. Dawson punches much harder, is a southpaw like joe, and is eight years younger, not eight years older than joe like hopkins was in the fight. Calzaghe comes out with his usual ambidextrous slapping punches and dawson pounds him over 12 rounds, it will go the distance, but calzaghe may get dropped a few times on the way

without a doubt Dawson over a pretty one sided contest,Calzaghe will not be strong enough to beat Dawson and his slapping pitta patta style would not wash against Dawson,who if these guys fight,and I doubt it because Calzaghe is opting for the older generation (as against Eubank and Hopkins),Dawson by unanimous decision.
