Saad was a good fighter, but he never achieved what Joe has.

I doubt he could cope with Joe's speed, mobility and boxing skills.

Saad would have a punchers chance, but remember Calzaghes never even come close to being stopped in 46 fights.

I love Saad Muhammad.   He's one of my all-time favorites because I have seen some of his fights live, including his dismantling at the hands of Dwight Muhammad Qwai (Braxton at the time).

Sorry to say Saad loses this one.   Calzaghe is just too busy.  Mathew was a warrior but not without flaws.   He never fought anyone who throws the volumn of punches Joe does.   Mathew takes too much punishment.  

If he is fresh he has a chance to catch Calzaghe in the later rounds and land a series of punches that would put Joe in danger.   If he can keep on him he could stop him.   This is just a possibility but not the most likely scenario.  

Some people, particularly Americans, seem to think Calzaghe needs to prove himself.   What more does he need to prove?  He won't prove or attempt to do so, by standing toe to toe with Saad.   If he does than, sure Saad will stop him.  

The best way to prove anything to anyone is to fight your fight and stop your opponent from fighting his.   Joe would be the one to do this.   He won't stop Mathew or even seriously hurt him.   But he will win.

Have to agree with the guy above Maurice,Saad was a great fighter and I simply cannot see Calzaghe beating him,Calzaghe does throw a lot of punches but a lot are quite amatuerish and dont even hurt when they land.I see Muhammed win this on a decent points margin,maybe even a tko.
