Joe Cole about to enter Arsenal but last minute offers from Clubs lay around

Chelsea has had its reputation to be more surprising a squeaking church mouse at your feet but its latest decision has set new standards in its characteristics. It went out without a word for nearly 3 months and all of a sudden announced that the Blues won’t be renewing their contracts with their star players Joe Cole, Michael Ballack and Juliano Belletti.

Rumours were already flying along the block that Joe Cole was looking for a new club. This decision might have been anticipated earlier by the star English player. The world class forward has had a couple of offers from different clubs and sources have revealed that the final decision for his transfer will come out in about a week.

Joe Cole’s agent has also later confirmed it and told that he along with Cole is reviewing a couple of offers right now. Earlier in the week Cole told media that he was surprised when he found out that he won’t be getting a renewal at his contract at the end of the month.

Cole who has spent seven year with the Stamford Bridge was picked up by Chelsea in 2003 from West ham United, an English foot-balling house that is famous for producing numerous ace English players.

The word is spreading that the Londoners were unable to meet with the demands of Cole, the attacking midfielder now his contract will end with the Blues on Wednesday with end of June. Cole has made 56 appearances for Chelsea in which he has scored 10 goals.

In 2010 World Cup happening in South Africa, the English attacking midfielder was played two times both as a substitute. While he failed to make spot in the starting line up, England itself had a marred performance at the tournament, where they exited at the last 16 stage. The blame of the poor campaign is so far going to their coach Fabio Capello who developed a poor offensive game.

A number of clubs are interested in acquiring the talents of the creative player. Top in the League for the chase are fellow Londoners; Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

The player’s agent Kevin Giesse, who will also be finalizing the final deal for Cole, told that the current situation has yet to reveal the future of Joe Cole. He expressed that there were a couple of more deals coming in once the 28 year old player officially turns into a free agent.

Giesse has stated that he and Cole are also looking over a couple of offers from foreign leagues and when they are done with that, they will give make their final decision. He also admitted that in any case there would be no news of Cole’s new club before the end of the World Cup.

While talking to media Giesse stated, “For now there is no news. The boy has just returned from South Africa and now he will go on holiday. There are clubs interested in him; we are talking about a world-class player”.

He didn’t comment on Ballack’s or Belletti’s departure from the club while saying, "I think by the end of the World Cup there will be developments and within two to three weeks there will be some news”.

When asked what foreign clubs were interested in signing the player the agent relayed, “Are AC Milan and Juventus interested. All negotiations are possible and that is not garbage”.

He further added, “Several English clubs have asked for information, but at the moment nobody has moved concretely. After the World Cup we'll be going to reach conclusions”.

AC Milan are the one that are trying to get to joe Cole before Arsenal does. They have already topped a 9 million pound deal but Cole hasn’t made any statements in reference to the club yet.

With the news flying in North London about Joe Cole’s arrival with the Gunners is heavily predicted. Not only are Gunners in need of a creative midfielder especially because of the probable departure of Cesc Fabregas. Cole himself has claimed that he is currently linked with Gunners and likes the club for a move.
