The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international has revitalised since joining Lille on loan from Liverpool last summer and is now willing to take a pay-cut in order to continue his adventure in France
In recent days, Joe Cole has to make way for an in-form http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 star even scored a goal and proved to
coach Rudi Garcia that he can rely on him whenever required.
Currently, Cole is on a season-long loan from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. The deal expires by the end of the campaign and there are no signs of Kenny Dalglish’s inclination to have him back at Anfield. Fully aware of this, Cole is keen to join Lille on a permanent basis.
“I love this championship, it opened my mind to another type of football. Nothing is decided yet, but I’d like to stay,” said Cole.
However, the financial aspects could become a major stumbling block. The player earns 450,000 Euros a month and Les Dogues pay only 40% of the Englishman’s salary.
Even though the northerners are keen to sign the former West Ham man on a permanent basis, they won’t be afford to pay a salary which is considered astronomical in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899.
Though Cole is on a lucrative deal, he is willing to take a significant pay cut in order to play regular football. The midfielder is enjoying life in Lille and is willing to do that in the future as well and says that he is not looking at the financial side
of things anymore.
“I am fortunate to be in a situation where it is not my priority,” said Cole when asked about his chances of staying at Lille.
Happy to have found a loyal player whose undeniable talent was never fully utilised in the Premier League, Lille might also be ready to finance a move for him on a permanent basis.
Furthermore, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eden-Hazard-c11863 set to leave Villeneuve d’Ascq this summer, Lille might have enough resources to give Cole a standard contract.
