Coach of LOSC Lille Metropole, Rudi Garcia has announced that Joe Cole, who spent last season on loan with Lille, has been asked to report back to Liverpool
Joe Cole was loaned by Liverpool to Lille for the entire 2011/2012 season and it was expected that the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international will stay at the club for another year. However, the midfielder will not continue his adventure with Les Dogues.

Brendon Rodgers has voiced his intentions to rebuild the squad and declared that Joe Cole is very much in his plans. And the Northern Irish man has assured Joe Cole that he will be wearing Liverpool colours next season.
To confirm this news, Rudi Garcia has announced that Joe Cole will not return from England after the summer break. Confirming the departure of former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 man, Garcia wished him a bright future.
“Joe Cole will stay at Liverpool. The new coaching set-up has decided to keep him. We have very good memories of the player. He was not only a talented footballer but also a very good person.”
Although Joe Cole had voiced his desire to stay with Lille in the past but admitted that his future is with Liverpool and the club will decide whether to retain him or let him stay with Lille for another season.
While talking to reporters, Joe Cole admitted that a change in managerial position at Liverpool has dramatically changed the situation.
"I have not had any discussions with Liverpool but I will be there if they ask me to. Right now I do not know if the new manager wants me or not, I cannot say whether I will stay at Lille or go back to Liverpool. My time at Lille will remain positive. When
a new manager will be appointed, we will see what happens.”
Joe Cole enjoyed a tremendous 2011/2012 campaign with LOSC Lille where he managed to make 31 appearances for the club and scored 4 goals and provided couple of assists as well.
