  1. Reggie White was one of the best players to ever strap on a helmet....

    period!

    Great player....great person.

  2. Greene was the most dominant player on defense that I have ever witnessed. No one ever ran over him or around him, and he could rush the passer like an animal and didn't play end like White did.  White was a great pass rusher, but he could be run on....

I would pick Greene over any d-lineman ever.

  3. mean joe

  4. Reggie White

  5. both were very good,to tough to call

  6. Very tough to answer they were both D linemen but there is a huge difference between tackle and end.  Greene was a dominant force but he played on one of the best defensive units of all time.  White never really had that opportunity and he played at the same level with multiple teams.  In the end I would take Greene based on two things, I am a Steeler fan and 2, Greene never got trucked by anyone.

  7. This is probably one of the most difficult questions I have seen on here.

Naturally as a Steelers fan I would pick Greene. 4 Superbowls and the anchor of the Steel Curtain but White was amazing and could change the momentum of the game in one series.

Imagine the devastation that the two of them would have caused if they would have played together Greene in the middle and White on the end.

  8. 75. The rules of the game were changed to try & slow Joe down, didn't work! He was clearly more dominant, but not to diminish Reggie.

  9. Apples and oranges.  White was an end...Greene a tackle.

That being said..if forced to pick I'd take Greene.  Greene dominated the line scrimmage despite being double teamed routinely.  I'd rather be solid in the middle than solid on the end.
