Joe Hart ready for criticism
Manchester City shotstopper Joe Hart has been applauded by many as being one of the top goal keepers of the World but now looks for criticism.
After the goalkeeping debacle of the English National side in this summer’s World Cup, Hart was installed as the permanent number 1 owing to his impressive performance in the friendly against Hungary. It was Hart’s unparallel support which earned him a ticket
into Capello’s World Cup squad and by installing him at the new number 1, one thing for sure is that Hart is truly one of the best.
The 23 year old has been impenetrable and Hart’s stance and confidence seems that of a 30 year old fully experienced shot stopper. The player has made just one blunder while playing against Blackburn Rovers, where a miscommunication between him and defender
Kolo Toure led to the easiest of goals. Apart from that, critics, player and coaches have been singing songs of appreciation about the youngster as the player has been outstanding for both his club and country.
However, the player is all too aware that the appreciation may well be short lived and any mistake can turn him from a hero to zero. While talking to the media, Hart stated that he was well aware of the pressure while playing for his country. Hart has been
confirmed as the shotstopper for the English national side in their clash against Montenegro in the Euro 2012 qualifier.
"People build you up and as soon as anything does go slightly wrong then they are hard on you. But that is the nature of the game and if I want to be at the top level then I think you've just got to be prepared for things like that. It is another thing you
need to work on. Another thing you need to be good at is taking criticism.", stated the 23 year old goalkeeper.
Owing to his regular game time with Manchester City, Hart is getting priceless experience against the top sides of the premier league. That has led to him being fearless in most situations and has greatly improved his overall confidence while playing for
the Three Lions. Also, the player has benefitted from the similar thought process of both his club and country manager. Roberto Mancini and Fabio Capello both hail from Italy and have a similar thinking process, if not the same experience.
"Obviously our manager at Manchester City is a lot younger and not quite done what the England manager has in the game But there are definite similarities in the way they do things and the way they want things to be done. It is the norm for me now. In fact,
it would feel weird for me not to work with an Italian manager now because everywhere I am, they are there.”, claimed the 23 year explaining the situation with his managers.
Hart burst on to the premier league scene last season when he managed to keep 7 straight clean sheets in his loan term with Birmingham City. Those performances led Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini to call back the player to his squad and chose him
above the experience and talent of Shay Given. That decision was a wise one by the Italian as Hart has been able to concede just three times in ten appearances in all competitions. In City’s first match of this season, Hart stood like a brick wall against
Tottenham Hotspurs and managed some truly outstanding saves. For his age, Hart is one of the very best and has a bright future ahead of him
