Manchester City keeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699 has admitted that City need to focus on themselves if they are to win the Premier League.
City went on to maintain their stance at the top of the Premier League table, as they beat Stoke City by three goals to nil. However, while City won their game, Manchester Untied went on to draw their match with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and hence, there is now a two point
gap between the top two teams in the league.
Following United’s fixture against Chelsea, the Red Devils are now set to take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 in the league. As a result, the team is expected to drop more points, which would give City the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table.
Despite this fact, Hart believes City need to stop thinking about the possibilities which involve their rivals dropping points and need to focus on their games instead.
Hart, when talking about how City need to tackle their upcoming fixtures and just what kind of mindset they need to possess, is quoted to have said:  “We can only concentrate on ourselves”
“I don't think we know their fixtures, and I'm sure they don't know ours.”
“They've just got to focus on what they're doing, and we'll do what we can do to help ourselves. We can only do that by winning.”
The keeper then admitted that City need to focus on their game against Villa and not let United and their games prevent them from focusing on the match. He also revealed that playing against Villa wasn’t going to be an easy task and that the match was far
more important than people were assuming it to be.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international then went on to add: “We've got a lot more things on our plate than worrying about Man United. We've got a big game against Villa coming up and we've got really important teams to play against.”
“Whoever is in the chasing pack, or involved in the title race, will do what they've got to do. I'm pretty sure they don't care what's going on elsewhere.”
Nonetheless, if things play out in City’s favour, they could find themselves possess a four or five point lead at the end of the coming weekend.
