  1. holyfield in 5..to clever to fast and would have taken anything louise could throw at him..a miss match

  2. Joe Louis would never have faced a destructive fighter like Holyfield. At cruiser Evander had pretty much everthing,as the poster above said the best cruiser ever.Evander was much better in every department than Louis and if this did go past round 6 I would feel safe in a bet on a technical ko for the Georgia Bulldog!

  3. let me put it this way. holyfield was part of the current modern slump, the 1990's were flat out beating old men from the 1980's and they lost the title to a fat 44 year old man from the 1970's!(foreman).

In other words you take holyfield or any of our modern bums and put them in an era with almost 10 times the competing heavyweights, the closest they would get to a title fight is carrying joe loius's towel for him.

And that is not a joke.

They would honestly not even get to fight the guys loius beat on the way up.

  4. even in this day and age joe louis would of been a heavyweight i predict a descent fight by a prime holyfield but louis would eventually ko him probaly late rds of a 15 rd fight if it was 12 rds holyfield might make it the distance but clearly louis would win on points

  5. joe louis' hand would have been fast for evander, and his punches were more powerful.

evander probably had more speed in his legs, but joe would win this one by unanimous decision

  6. Evander Holyfield was the best cruiser weight that ever lived. He had a granite chin and a heavy punch. On top of it he dissected his opponents, watching hours of video on his opponents and dissecting them down to a science.

If you haven't seen Holyfield fight at cruiser weight then you dont know anything about Evander Holyfield. He was really fast and hit hard.

He was the best counter puncher the sport had seen in my opinion.

Louis was effective because he too was a counter puncher when no one knew what counter punching was. Holyfeild learned from guys like Louis and perfected their craft of counter punching.

Give Louis his all due respect. But against Holyfield at cruiser weight I just cant see the brown Bomber out countering him. Louis might have had the speed over Commander Vander , but Holyfield had the power, chin, heart and smarts.

Back at cruiser weight Evander had no problem going 15 rounds.

I would see this fight going the distance or Evander by late round stoppage.
