Before Mesi's injury who wins; Keep in mind Mesi was the #1 heavyweight Contender before his injury and was in line for a title bout. Klitchko struggled against "Touch of Sleep" Williamson well Mesi KO'd him in the first Rd1. Who would win in a 12rd fight for the title.?

  1. I think Mesi would have taken him.  Before his injury, Mesi had speed, punching power, and ring skills.  With his skill, he avoids the jab.  With his speed, he finds Klitchko's chin before Klitchko finds his.  And with his power, he has Klitchko afraid to throw his right for fear of the counter.  It would have been a good fight in any event.

  2. joe mesi would be gone in 3.

  3. Mesi is no match for Wladimir,he could have some good 4 rounds and them get beat out like Chris Byrd

  4. Mesi would be no match at all.

  5. I think Klitschko would have had an easy time with Mesi, easily winning a decision.  Still, if anyone lands a shot flush on Wladimir, that chin is libel to betray him.  It is difficult to fight in the heavyweight division with a glass jaw.

  6. Don't forget that Klitchko was dropped by Samuel Peter [who hits even harder than Mesi] 3 times!.....and then went on to land some serious leather on Peter ---Klitchko won by unanimous decision. I would figure Mesi might have stung the big Ukranian a couple of times--but Klitchko's pistonlike left jab and brutal overhand right would give him the victory....only question would be by KO or by decision......also Klitchko has excellent defensive skills, he is very hard to hit.

  7. mesi gone in 5
