Joe Vavra looking optimistic ahead of Spring Training – MLB News

"It was a constant battle. With some guys, we butted heads a little bit," Vavra said. "You have to have a bona fide plan. You have to talk it through to understand. What does the pitcher have? How does he pitch righties, lefties, power hitters, speed guys? What does he throw at certain points in the count?"
The 52 year old gets up early in the morning for his routine training sessions. To achieve his desired goals, he does not mind changing his strategies completely. Vavra will be looking to work hard with the Twins players for the upcoming season.
