Joe calzaghe v. Jermaine taylor?

We'll obviously know better after his fight with BHop, but whether or not Calzaghe wins, if he keeps fighting this one seems probable within the next year or so.

Would only happen at 175, if at all. After Joe beat Kessler, he expressed no desire to fight at Super Middle again.

Are you serious?  I hope Jermain himself isnt trying to sell this.  That would be the stupidest fight for Taylor.  He's fresh off a double@$$whupin from Kelly Pavlik and he wants to mess with Calzaghe?  Im SURE Jermain isnt trying to get this fight.  

I really think a handfull of these guys in the US think this "British Whiteboy" cant fight.  Jeff Lacey went in with that stupid  "Im from the hood"  attitude and look what it got him.  He fought the dumbest fight imaginable because he never got it out of his mind that  MAYBE THIS GUY CAN ACTUALLY FIGHT.   Jeff went in believing that he could actually intimidate Calzaghe and he never got it out of his mind that Joe was, not only Unafraid but Unimpressed.  He never had a plan B and got EMBARASSED for his troubles.  He did everything wrong except scream  "Im Jeff Lacey".    

Someone suggested that if Jeff got a rematch, IN THE US, things might be different.  Sure,  This time he gets his @$$ whupped in his own backyard, WITHOUT hearing the final bell.   Calzaghe shouldnt even bother with Lacey again.  Make him get in line and EARN his butt whupping.  

As for Taylor,  he should take a few tune-ups and just stay away from Calzaghe.  Pavlik exposed what I have said about Taylor for a long time.  He kept making the same mistake over and over again.  He drops his right everytime he throws the jab.  He's a young strong boxer but he has a few things to learn about the sport.  He should just stay away from Calzaghe.  

I dont see Joe Calzaghe losing to anyone for a long time,   possibly never.

Seems Taylor may have signed to fight Roy Jones Jr in June.

If that fight happens Roy will win and it will then be Roy who's in line to fight Calazaghe (assuming Calazaghe beats BHop)

Actually, in all seriousness. . . . Joe could, and would, beat Taylor with two glass eyes, in a dress, handcuffed, on one leg, with a mouthful of single malt whisky.  Afterwards, it would be reported that Taylor, in the dressing room, asks Calzaghe for his autograph.
