Joel Diaz: The judges saw Tim winning for some reason – Boxing News
After listening to what the naysayers said, Joel Diaz has finally lashed out on the critics, which is probably everyone. Bradley won a split decision victory over Manny Pacquiao on past Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. While it was the biggest victory
of his life, each and every person who saw the fight believes Pacquiao was the victor. However, Bradley’s trainer Joel Diaz insists that the decision by the judges was accurate and there is nothing to debate over.
When asked, Joel Diaz commented, “Like I said earlier, people don't give you credit for the work you put in. I mean Timothy went 12 rounds with the most explosive fighter in the world. Come on, let's give the kid some credit. The judges saw Tim winning for
some reason. We don't know the judges personally. Just give the kid some credit. We beat Manny Pacquiao here in his hometown, because Vegas is his house.”
On the other hand, Bradley spoke about his injured foot. He said, “That's why in the middle of the rounds I was flat footed. I stood in front of Manny and that's when he came on. But I was able to suck it up and kept moving. I was able to land some shots.”
It definitely is disheartening for Bradley and Diaz to see the uproar by fans, celebrities and journalists, but that is what makes boxing rematches so interesting. Everyone right now is waiting for a rematch which will probably be held in November this year.
Another aspect presented by Bradley is that Pacquiao looked so dominant because his (Bradley’s) foot was injured and according to him this will not happen in the rematch. Bradley has accepted Pacquiao’s rematch challenge and he wants to make it more decisive.
After the match, Bradley notified that he is hearing all the ‘boes’ which is the main reason why he wants to go head to head with Pacquiao again. Bradley wants to show the world that he had beaten Pacquiao fair and square and there was no cheating or favouritism
involved by the judges or anyone else.
